calling all pompeypunks: what are your feelings about the following posts received from alan today?
Alan Calver
"An excellent night down The Barn on Saturday, all 4 bands smashed it! Turn out was piss poor, where are all the pompey musicians hiding when they're not playing this venue? Their bands are happy to take your money and want your support but never show up to support the nights they're not playing. Jon Flash and Jon Lamb put a lot of time and effort into these nights, it's about time the local bands started putting the same commitment into supporting them"ppunks
"Interesting point alan, I'll repost this to the pompeypunks 'likers' to give people a chance to comment. I'm not sure if you're aware, but there was a pompeypunk wedding on saturday (flash was there and doing the catering) so that definitely would have made a difference to the amount of people attending this weekend. Lets hope people will be out more as the weather improves and their bank balances rise!"Alan calver
"We were aware of the wedding, and knew Jon would be there, but not every local punk was at the wedding, i know of plenty of local band members that never attend these monthly events unless they are playing. Not the first poor turnout either. Support the scene that supports you. Myself, India and Jim travel from Bognor to these events and have missed probably 4 in the time that these have been going on, so the locals have no excuse."From the Facebook page · #
