Can anyone help me please? I found a load of old live tapes that I'd recorded on an ancient hand held cassette way back in the late 70's. Amongst them was a recording of local band The Media, supporting the Vapors at Portsea Rotary club on 12th August - but what was the year? Anyone with a good memory or one of the guys who were in the band at the time? Cheers, Ken Brown

This is little Julie in her Brighton flat. She moved to Brighton in the early 80's. I'm trying to trace her 'cause of the pic on the wall. It's a painting of a photo of Yank and Paul Pilsworth, I don't remember who the third punk was. any leads? x

Hi, I'm a journalism student from Portsmouth and I am desperately trying to find any people who saw The Clash when they played in Portsmouth or anyone who was inspired to start a band because of The Clash/Joe Strummer. Its for a feature I am writing for the 10th anniversary of Joe's death and 60th birthday.

Ok So Not only do you get 4 Fantastic Bands on the 10th in Portsmouth at the Rumble, but the Night before if you are around, our friends at the wedgewood rooms are holding this little Shindig, with DJs Spikey Mark and Charlie-ann Dolly. Also live on stage are South Londons Finest The Sin Kings and garage punks The Go Go Cult. Gonna be an awesome 2 nights in Portsmouth via Paul James

The next 2 days at the barn are being managed by bubba tattooz This is punk by the sea DIY (nothing to do with the pbts promoters-just the few bands willing and able to play for little or no fee any money being spent is coming out of bubbas pocket so please buy him a drink the next time you see him)
The venue the barn, is 88 capacity tonight, and 248 all day tomorrow. So if you arrive and can't get in tonight please understand that these guys are trying to get something together for you.
They are currently meeting with jimmy persey now, I will update you on anything new I hear, just been down the barn myself, this is first hand information.So in no particular order - could be playing sat or sun:

Punk By The Sea collapses - the punks save it at the Barn
for those of you stranded in Pompey today, gutted for you. Cringing at the way all the bands and folk who helped pull off last night's dying punk by the sea event have been treated, the event is now cancelled. . . . however SHAM 69 are playing the barn tonight, other bands are on throughout the day from 4.30, enjoy yourselves and moshpit it all out of ya. Credit to bubba and pursey and all the bands that went ahead and played the past two days. hx

(apart I guess from the bit when we were trying to get shams amp through the mosh pit, that was a bit crazy, thanks lee, you are awesome ; ) -
